CG PET Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test 2025

The Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test (CG PET) annually to provide admissions to eligible candidates into the various undergraduate engineering courses offered by the participating institutes of the state. CG PET is a state-level exam conducted as a paper-and-pen-based test. The authorities will also consider JEE Main  scores for admissions. Approximately 15,000 candidates appear for CG PET every year. DTE Raipur is the responsible authority for the CG PET counselling process.

Candidates are advised to check the following eligibility criteria of CG PET 2025 carefully before filling out the application form.

Qualifying Examination:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Maths, and Physics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical vocational courses as optional subjects.
  • For BTech Biotechnology, aspirants should have studied Biology instead of Maths in their 10+2.

Pass Percentage:

  • Candidates should have secured a minimum of 45% marks in each of the subjects in their Class 10+2 or equivalent.
  • Reserved category aspirants from Chhattisgarh should have secured a minimum of 40% in their Class 10+2.
  • Grace Marks: Candidates who have passed with grace marks will be considered eligible if they acquire the minimum pass percentage in each subject. It is important to note that grace marks will not be considered while computing the aggregate percentage for admissions.

Domicile Requirements:

  • All candidates need to furnish residency proof.
  • They must get the domicile certificate ready as proof of their residency. This will be required during counselling and admissions.

Age Limit:

  • Candidates should not be more than 30 years of age as of July 1 of the admission year. 3-year relaxation is given to reserved category candidates. The minimum age limit is 17 years as of December 31 of the admission year.

CG PET 2025 eligibility criteria for admissions

  • Candidates must have qualified CG PET 2025.
  • Candidates who have cleared JEE Main will also be considered eligible for seats earmarked for the same.

Below we have provided the complete CG PET Exam Pattern:

  • No of Questions: There will be total 150 questions in the question paper.
  • Questions Type: The question paper will be consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). 
  • Medium: The Medium of question paper will be both English & Hindi.
  • Time Duration: Total 3 hours will be provided for solving the question paper.
  • Marking scheme: Each right answer will consists of 1 mark.

CG PET Syllabus 2025:

The syllabus for the examination will be consist of various topics from the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. The question paper will be consisting of questions of PCM from the 11th and 12th NCERT. Applicants can check the complete syllabus for the CG PET 2025 Examination through online mode.

The official CG PET 2025 application form release date has not been announced yet. Candidates will be able to access the CG PET 2025 registration link online at vyapam.cgstate.gov.in. While filling out the application form, all of the valid personal, academic and contact details have to be submitted. The candidates can follow the given steps to fill out the application form of CG PET 2025.

  • Step 1- Exam Pre-Requisites: First, the candidates will have to select the exam and course that they are applying for.
  • Step 2 – Enter Basic Information: Next, the candidates will have to enter their basic details such as their name, parent’s name, gender, date of birth, category, etc. 
  • Step 3 – Uploading Scanned Documents: After the basic information is submitted, the candidates will have to upload their scanned photograph and signature as per the official specifications mentioned by the authorities. 
  • Step 4 – Enter Contact Details: Candidates will have to enter their personal and communication details in the application form.
  • Step 5 – Selection of Exam Centre: Next, the candidates will have to select three exam cities of their choice in the order of preference. Candidates are advised to be careful with their order of preference as it will be considered during allotment.
  • Step 6 – Submission of Form: Before submitting the form, the candidates are advised to carefully check it.
  • Step 7 – Payment of Fee: Finally, the candidates will have to pay the CG PET 2025 application fee online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. No other mode of payment will be accepted.

Application Fee:

The Application Form fee can be submitted through both online as well as offline mode. Applicants can use Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking and Challan payment gateways for transaction of application fee.

Registered candidates will be able to access and download the CG PET 2025 admit card after logging in using the required credentials. The information regarding the allotted exam centre, date, timings, guidelines and more will be available through the CG PET admit card 2025. At the exam centre, the candidates will have to produce their hall ticket and identity proof. If the candidates are unable to bring these documents, then they will not be allowed to attempt the exam. If the candidates found any mistakes in their CG PET 2025 admit card, then they were advised to immediately contact the authorities. 

CG PET Preparation Tips 2025:

  • Visit the complete syllabus and exam pattern.
  • Make a proper time schedule and follow it strictly.
  • Regularly make the notes and study them accordingly.
  • Participate in the mock test.
  • Solve the previous years and sample papers.

CG PET Result will be declared by the official authority on the basis of final answer key. Official authority will prepare the result after few weeks from the completion of examination. Applicants can download their result from the 1st week of July 2025 through online mode.

The result will not be sent to any Applicants individually through by post of any other offline mode. Applicants will have to download it individually through the website of exam conducting authority.

The counselling procedure will be held by the official authority for every selected applicants through online mode only. Applicants will be selected for the counselling procedure on the basis of merit list prepared by the official authority.

CG PET Counselling procedure 2025 will be held in various rounds on the basis of availability of vacant seats. The seats will be provided to the applicants on the basis of their rank in the merit list.

After each round of counselling, Applicants will have to report at their allotted center within given time period for completing remaining formalities for confirming their admission. Applicants will also have to bring following at the time of reporting for verification round:
