The application for the BPTPIA CET 2025 is now available on the official website. The application must be submitted by July 7th. The competitive entrance test (CET) for applicants seeking admission into undergraduate (UG) Engineering/Technology Degree (B.Tech) & Diploma (Polytechnic) courses will be administered by the Bihar Private Technical & Professional Institutions Association (BPTPIA). The date of BPTPIA CET 2025 is set for July 11.
Candidates will be given multiple-choice questions from the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics sections in accordance with the BPTPIA CET 2025 Exam Pattern. The question paper will be solved over the course of two hours.

BPTPIA CET 2025 Exam Dates
Candidates who plan to take the BPTPIA CET in 2025 can use the table to keep track of significant occasions related to the test. On the same day, admission exams for both polytechnic and B.Tech programs would be held. While the entry for undergraduate engineering admission is set for 2 pm to 4 pm, the entrance for polytechnic programs will begin at 11 am and run until 1 pm.

- 15 colleges will offer the B.Tech degree in one or more of the aforementioned programs.
- For the Engineering program, there are a total of 6100 seats available across all colleges and courses.
- 24 colleges will provide polytechnic diplomas in one or more of the aforementioned subjects.
- For the Polytechnic program, there are a total of 5520 seats available throughout all institutions and courses.

Eligibility
Before submitting an application for the BPTPIA CET 2025, a candidate must meet a number of eligibility requirements. The eligibility requirements for degree and diploma programs differ. The entire BPTPIA CET 2025 Eligibility Criteria for both B.Tech. and Polytechnic programs are included below for candidates to review.
1. Eligibility Requirements for a 4-year Undergraduate Engineering and Technology Program
Admission in First Year
- The applicant must have passed the 10+2 exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Biotechnology, and a Technical Vocation as the required courses.
- Candidate must pass the aforementioned qualifying examination with at least 45% of the possible points. The qualifying examination’s minimal passing score for candidates in the reserved category has been lowered to 40%.
Lateral Entry Admission in Second Year
- The candidate must have earned at least 45% in a diploma test in the relevant engineering or technology field that has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Candidates from the reserved group must receive a minimum of 40%.
- The candidate must have earned at least 45% in any B.Sc. degree program from an accredited university and must have passed the 10+2 exam with mathematics as a required subject. Candidates from the reserved group must receive a minimum of 40%.
Candidates holding a B.Sc. degree should have passed the second-year examinations in addition to the first-year Engineering Mechanics and Engineering Graphics or Engineering Drawing exams.
Additionally, after candidates with a Diploma background have filled the supernumerary seats in this category, those with a B.Sc. background will be taken into consideration.
n the event that there are no more lateral entry seats available, candidates with both a B.Sc. and a diploma background will be eligible for entrance into the initial year of Engineering & Technology degree courses. But first-year admittance is dependent on seat availability.
2. Qualifications for the 3-year Undergraduate Engineering and Technology Diploma Program
- Admission in First Year
- The applicant must have passed the Matriculation or 10th grade or an equivalent exam.
- Candidates must receive at least 35% on the qualifying exam.
- Lateral Entry Admission in Second Year
- The applicant must have successfully completed ITI or 10+2 in a recognized academic stream.
- Candidates must receive at least 60% on the qualifying test.
- Age Criteria:
- There are no age restrictions for taking the BPTPIA CET 2025.
BPTPIA Application Form
For the BPTPIA CET 2025, applicants must submit their applications offline exclusively. However, you can obtain an application form both online and offline. They must download the document and print it out. After the online form has been submitted, no revisions are allowed. Below are the steps for applying for the BPTPIA CET 2025.
Online Procurements of Application Form
- Visit the BPTPIA’s official website.
- Click on “Download Engineering form” to apply for degree courses or “Download Polytechnic form” to apply for diploma courses in the “Download Forms” area on the left side of the homepage.
- Download the chosen application form, then print it off.
Offline Procurements of Application Form
- The BPTPIA Office or offices of all universities taking part in the entrance exam will have a prospectus and application form for the BPTPIA CET 2025.
- The prospectus and application form can be purchased for INR 100 in cash or INR 150 by demand draft made out to “Bihar Private Technical & Professional Institutions Association,” payable at Patna, to get them by mail.
Application Fee
No matter the candidate’s category, the application fee is the same. If a candidate acquires a prospectus and an application form offline, he or she must pay INR 100 in cash or INR 150 in the form of a demand draft if receiving the documents by mail.
The candidate has the option of obtaining an application form online, in which case they will also need to pay a demand draft for INR 100.
BPTPIA Exam Pattern & Syllabus
The official notification does not go into great depth about the BPTPIA CET 2025 Exam Pattern. However, the authorities will make sure to include the following information in the notification.
- The BPTPIA CET will take place in 2025 and last for two hours (120 minutes).
- Three sections—Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics—will make up the test.
