M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (MSRUAS) was established in 2013 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, by the Gokula Education Foundation (Medical). It was founded with the vision of providing a practical and application-based education in various disciplines, including engineering, management, design, and health sciences. The university was formed by integrating the M.S. Ramaiah School of Advanced Studies (MSRSAS) and other educational institutions under the Ramaiah Group. It is named after Dr. M.S. Ramaiah, a renowned philanthropist and educationist who also founded Ramaiah Institute of Technology (RIT). MSRUAS was granted private university status by the Karnataka Government under the University Act, 2013. MSRUAS has a dedicated placement cell that facilitates campus recruitments. The university maintains a good placement record, with students securing positions in reputable companies across various sectors. The average salary package ranges from ₹3.5 LPA to ₹6 LPA, depending on the course and specialization. As per the latest report, the highest package offered during MSRUAS placements in 2024 was INR 52 LPA. Over 300 recruiters participated in the placement process and provided various new-age job roles to the students of the 2024 batch. Scholarships

Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences provides two types of scholarships. Students can choose to apply for an Admission Test Scholarship or a Merit Scholarship. It is to note that Merit Scholarship can either be a Scholarship of Excellence or a Scholarship of Distinction. Besides, students can avail loans, government and non-government scholarships.  In an academic year, Ramaiah University of Applied Science students are eligible for only one Admission Test or Merit Scholarship.

Entrance Exams and Cutoffs:

• Undergraduate Admissions (B.Tech): Candidates are required to have valid scores in entrance exams such as COMEDK UGET or KCET. The cutoff ranks vary each year based on the number of applicants and seat availability. For instance, the KCET 2024 cutoff for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering was 25535 for the 1G category. 
• Postgraduate Admissions (M.Tech): Candidates should have valid GATE scores or qualify in the university’s entrance examination.
• MBA Admissions: Scores from exams like CAT, MAT, or KMAT are considered for admission.
