The rapid changes we see in almost each and every sector makes the task of educators even more challenging. It was over three decades now that the SKM Educational Trust was formed, with the mission to provide substance to college degrees by way of wholistic learning. Recent events and rapid changes brought about by globalization made us to re-look into how best education could be maximized, to meet the demands of globalization. The Oxbridge College of Pharmacy, Oxbridge Business School, Oxbridge College of Science and Commerce and SKM PU College,all run under the umbrella of the Oxbridge Group of Institutions, managed by the SKM Educational Trust. The Oxbridge is a dynamic community. It is multiracial, multi-cultural, multi-lingual, multi-religious, yet existing harmoniously. We run courses under the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health and Science (RGUHS) and The Bangalore University (BU). We are affiliated with the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). We are also recognized by the Government of Karnataka.

We are now living in a much smaller world, with interconnected information and communications technology, myriads of networks, including the internet technology that is changing the face of education too. Campus and Facilities

The college has an independent, modern building with a peaceful and pollution-free atmosphere. The campus is one acre in size and features well-ventilated, spacious, and furnished classrooms. The college has a well-stocked library with a good collection of books and journals. The labs are equipped with the latest instruments and are constructed to meet AICTE standards. The college offers separate hostel facilities for boys and girls with reasonable accommodation. Other facilities include an auditorium, a cafeteria, a gym, and a health center with a first-aid facility. The campus has sports facilities for games like badminton, volleyball, and table tennis.

Academic Excellence and Courses

Oxbridge College of Pharmacy offers a variety of diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in pharmacy. The teaching quality is described as average by some students, although the teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The college offers courses with specializations such as Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical.

The courses offered are:

• Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm): A 2-year program.
• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm): A 4-year undergraduate program.
• Bachelor of Pharmacy (Lateral Entry): A lateral entry program for D.Pharm holders.
• Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm): A 2-year postgraduate program with specializations in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Pharmacology.
• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D): A 6-year professional doctorate.
• Doctor of Pharmacy (Post Baccalaureate): A 3-year program for B.Pharm holders.

Scholarships Offered

Scholarship for the students is available on the following basis. However conditions are applied in few situations. Some community trust also offer scholarship to the student of their own community. Time to time update regarding scholarship will be notified to the students.

Legal action will be taken against the students who produce false certificates.

Scholarship from Government for SC/ST students whose family income is below Rs. 2, 50,000 per annum. Students can apply every year.

SC/ST students are offered fee concession whose family income is below Rs. 2, 50,000 per annum (Sanctioned by Director of Technical Education, Bangalore)

M/s. Jindal Trust Scholarship, Sitaram Jindal Foundation, Jindal Nagar, Tumkur Road, Bangalore

District Backward Class and Minorities Department have the scheme to refund the fees paid by the students (other than SC/ST) whose family income is Rs. 1, 00,000 per annum and less. Students can apply for the same in the month of August.

Entrance Exam Accepting Details

Admissions at Oxbridge College of Pharmacy are based on merit and entrance exam scores.

• B.Pharm and Pharm.D: A valid score in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is accepted. Candidates must have passed the 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology or Mathematics.
• M.Pharm: Candidates must have a B.Pharm degree with at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST and Cat-1 candidates from Karnataka). A valid score on the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is given preference.

Student Life & Extracurricular Activities

The college provides a good environment for campus life. It hosts an annual cultural fest called “AGRATHA” as well as other festivals like Basant Panchami, Ganesh Chaturthi, and Onam. Other events include a college day, fresher’s day, and an annual sports week. The college also organizes seminars by guest speakers and international study tours.

Placements & Internships

The college has a training and placement cell that aims to facilitate campus recruitment for graduating students. According to a student review, 30-40% of students get placed with an average package of ₹20,000-₹30,000. However, other sources report a higher median salary of ₹3.5 LPA for B.Pharm graduates. Top recruiters include Cipla, Sun Pharma, Dr. Reddy’s, and IQVIA. The college claims that 90% of students receive internships with companies such as Micro Lab and Juggat Pharma. The placement rate for B.Pharm graduates in 2023 was 80%.
