Karnataka Education Trust was founded in 2003 with the virtuous objective of bringing educational institutions in the fields of Medical & Paramedical, Engineering, Arts & Science, and Management.

Karnataka College of Pharmacy is one of the prestigious pharmacy colleges in the state of Karnataka, South India established in the year 2004 managed by Karnataka Education Trust. Currently we are offering Diploma, Degree, Post Graduation and PhD programmes in Pharmacy. KCP is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, and approved by the Pharmacy council of India New Delhi. KCP is also accredited with ‘A’ Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).  KCP has got MOU with Bangalore Baptist Hospital, Bangalore for clinical facilities.

  • Laboratories: KCP has 18 labs, with 13 for B.Pharm and 5 for M.Pharm students, all equipped with the latest instruments.
  • Library: The library is spacious and contains over 5,100 volumes and 9,000 titles of books, along with 45 national and 11 international journals.
  • Hostels: Separate, fully-furnished hostels are available for boys and girls, with 2 hostels for boys and 4 for girls. The hostel fee is approximately ₹75,000 per year and includes round-the-clock Wi-Fi and food, which is considered average.
  • Other Facilities: The college also provides a canteen, an auditorium, a health center, sports equipment, and computer labs with internet access.

KCP offers a variety of courses at diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels. The college has a highly qualified and experienced staff, with many teachers holding Ph.D. degrees.

The courses offered are:

  • Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm): A 2-year diploma program.
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm): A 4-year undergraduate program.
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (Lateral Entry): A 3-year program for D.Pharm holders.
  • Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm): A 2-year postgraduate program with specializations in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Analysis, and Industrial Pharmacy.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D): A 6-year professional doctorate.
  • Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate): A 3-year program for B.Pharm graduates.

KCP offers various international scholarships for students to study abroad in Europe, such as the Eiffel Scholarship for masters and Ph.D. students in France and the VLIR:UOS Training and masters scholarship in Belgium.

Admissions at KCP are primarily entrance-based.

  • B.Pharm: Admission is done through scores obtained in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET). A candidate must have passed the 12th standard with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • M.Pharm: Admission is based on the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) score.
  • Pharm.D: Admission is based on a candidate’s rank in the KCET exam.
  • D.Pharm: Admission is based on merit in the qualifying examination.
  • The college may also offer admission through a management quota for students who do not have a valid entrance exam score.
