Admission and Eligibility
Admissions to B.Sc. Agriculture programs in Karnataka are primarily based on entrance exam scores. The main entrance exam is the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET).
- Eligibility: To be eligible for admission, candidates must have passed their 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology or Mathematics.
- Merit Calculation: The merit list is prepared by considering 50% of the marks from the 10+2 examination and 50% from the KCET examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics (PCMB). For students applying under the “Agriculturist Quota,” 50% of the merit is based on a practical test conducted by the university.
- Other Exams: Some colleges also accept scores from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research All India Entrance Examination for Admission (ICAR AIEEA).
