Fee Details
The GATE exam fee for 2025 varies depending on the candidate’s category and whether they register during the regular or extended period.
Regular period
· Female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates: ₹900 per test paper
· All other candidates, including foreign nationals: ₹1800 per test paper
Extended period
· Female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates: ₹1400 per test paper
· All other candidates, including foreign nationals: ₹2300 per test paper
Late fee
Candidates who register for the GATE exam after the closing date of registration will have to pay a late fee. The late fee is ₹1400 for female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates, and ₹2300 for all other candidates.
