JEE Advanced Exam Pattern 2025

JEE Advanced consists of two papers (Paper 1 & Paper 2). Both papers are mandatory and conducted on the same day.

PaperDurationSubjectsQuestion Types
Paper 13 HoursPCMMCQs, Integer-Type, Numerical, Match the Following
Paper 23 HoursPCMMCQs, Integer-Type, Numerical, Comprehension

Key Points:

  • Adaptive & Variable Marking – Different types of positive and negative marking.
  • Paper 1 & 2 Cover Different Concepts – Solving both is mandatory to qualify.
  • No Fixed Number of Questions – Varies each year!

Pro Tip: JEE Advanced is designed to test deep conceptual understanding, not just formula application!
