The ISI Admission Test 2025 is a national-level entrance exam and the mode of the exam is offline i.e. pen and paper test. Admission to the academic programs provided by ISI Kolkata is exclusively determined by the merits achieved by the candidates, which are assessed based on their performance in the ISI Admission Test 2025 and Interviews.
· Admission to B. Stat and B. Math is carried out based on the Entrance test administered by the institution.
· Postgraduate and Research Admissions are awarded based on Entrance Exams and Interviews as well.
· Candidates with a valid GATE score are exempt from the MS Entrance Test. These candidates will be invited directly for the Interview.
· Research programs are available as Senior Research Fellowship and Junior Research Fellowship.
· Candidates with a Junior Research Fellowship from NBHM/ CSIR/ UGC/ ICMR/ DST/ DB must also pass the JRF admission test for Admission

Exam Pattern
The ISI Admission Test 2025 consists of two parts, Part A will have multiple choice questions and Part B will be descriptive in nature. The language of the ISI Admission Test Exam is English. Candidates are allowed to use scientific calculators without programmable features. Negative marking applies to Section 1 only for each incorrect responses.
