UPTAC is Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling. It is an online state-level counselling held for admission to the first year of BTech/BArch/BBA/BMS/BCA/BDes/BPharm/BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/BVoc/MBA/MBA (Integrated)/MCA/MCA(Integrated)/M Tech (Integrated) and 2nd Year (Lateral Entry) of BTech/BPharmacy/MCA. The participating colleges of the UPTAC counselling are all institutions affiliated/constituent to AKTU and other state universities.
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow conducts the counselling process on behalf of Uttar Pradesh Technical Education Department. The centralised counselling is held based on various national-level entrance exam scores as given below.

Eligibility
Age limit: There is no age limit for admission to the courses covered in the counselling.
Nativity: Check various nativity requirements for the UPTAC counselling 2025 below:
- This counselling is open to the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located in UP or whose parents are domicile of U.P subject to the eligibility conditions. If the candidate has passed the qualifying examination from outside UP, he/she has to upload the domicile certificate of his/her parents (Father OR Mother only) at the time of registration for online verification and to be produced in the original at the time of offline verification during physical reporting at the Institute where the seat has been allotted.

Consequently, there is no separate UPTAC entrance exam or distinct syllabus. Admissions are based on scores from standardized national exams, each with its own prescribed syllabus. 1. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) & Integrated Master of Technology (M.Tech):
- Entrance Exam: Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main
- Syllabus: The JEE Main syllabus encompasses topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, aligning with the Class 11 and Class 12 curricula.
2. Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology (B.Tech Biotechnology) & Bachelor of Technology in Agriculture (B.Tech Agriculture):
- Entrance Exam: Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG)
- Syllabus: The CUET UG syllabus includes sections on Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, and General Knowledge, reflecting the Class 12 syllabus.
3. Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch):
- Entrance Exam: National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)

Preparation Strategy
