MET 2025

The Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2025 is conducted by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) for admissions into various undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including B.Tech, BBA, MBA, and M.Tech.

  • Exam Phases:
    • Phase 1: April 18-19, 2025
    • Phase 2: May 12, 2025
    • Phase 3: June (exact dates TBA)
  • Admit Card Release:
    • Phase 1: 3rd week of April
    • Phase 2: 3rd week of May
    • Phase 3: 2nd week of June
  • Results Declaration:
    • Phase 1 & 2: 2nd week of June
    • Phase 3: 4th week of June

For B.Tech:

  • Must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with at least 50%
  •  marks.
  • Subjects: Physics, Mathematics, and English (compulsory).
  • Students appearing for Class 12 exams in 2025 are also eligible.

For M.Tech:

  • Must have completed B.Tech/B.E./AMIE from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 50% marks in qualifying degree.

For MBA:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks.
  • A valid score in MAT/XAT/CAT/CMAT is required.
  • Mode: Computer-based online test (CBT.
  • Duration: 120 minutes (B.Tech & BBA); 60 minutes for M.Sc programs.
  • Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) & Numerical Answer Type (NAT).
  • Marking Scheme: +4 for correct answer, -1 for incorrect MCQs (No negative marking for NAT).
  • Subjects & Distribution:
    • B.Tech: Mathematics (15 MCQs + 5 NATs), Physics (10 MCQs + 5 NATs), Chemistry (10 MCQs + 5 NATs), English & General Aptitude (10 MCQs).
  • BBA: 100 MCQs covering Numeracy, Conceptual Ability, English, General Awareness, and Reading Comprehension.
  • B.Tech Subjects:
    • Mathematics: Vectors, Matrices, Calculus, Probability, Trigonometry.
    • Physics: Electrostatics, Optics, Dynamics, Heat & Thermodynamics.
    • Chemistry: Chemical Kinetics, Periodic Table, Atomic Structure, Hydrocarbons.
    • English: Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Correction.
  • BBA Subjects:
    • Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, English Grammar, General Knowledge

Application Process

  • Registration: Online at manipal.edu.
  • Documents Required:
    • Scanned photograph (4.5×3.5 cm, JPEG, <300KB).
    • Scanned signature (JPEG, <300KB).
  • Application Fee:
    • ₹2,000 for B.Tech (₹600 for General Category + ₹1,400 for MET Exam).
  • Candidates must book exam slots after registration via Online Test Booking System (OTBS).
  • Admit cards will be available after slot booking on the official website.

MET 2025 will be conducted in major cities across India, including Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Jaipur, and Dubai.

  • Result Declaration: June 2025.
  • Counseling: Starts in July 2025.
  • Admissions will be based on MET scores + merit ranking.

Understand the Exam Pattern & Syllabus

  • Go through the MET syllabus thoroughly.
  • Focus on high-weightage topics in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
  • Practice Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions, as they have no negative marking.

Practice Previous Year Papers & Mock Tests

  • Solve last 5 years’ MET papers to understand question trends.
  • Take mock tests regularly to improve speed and accuracy.
